I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
